Following the success of our 2013 wine dinners programme, we have again invited some of the world’s finest wineries back to Claridge’s along with some exciting new ones of course. The upcoming 2014 programme of exquisite wine dinners offers elegant wines and delectable cuisine - the result of an inspired collaboration between our Sommelier, Charles Segond, and our Executive Chef, Martyn Nail.The experience begins at 6.30pm with aperitifs and an introduction to the wines of the evening, presented by a winery’s representative, followed by a four-course dinner served at 7.00pm. Each course of the dinner is expertly designed to perfectly complement the wines selected for the evening.Places are limited so an early reservation is strongly recommended.
Founded in 1838, Deutz is situated amongst the vineyards of one of the region’s greatest villages: Aÿ-Champagne. Their vineyard sources are immaculate throughout the range: even Brut Classic notches up a 97% rating on the échelle des crus, and the house can call on a lavish selection of grands crus, including Avize, Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Aÿ.Fully inclusive experience priced at £250 per person.
Founded in 1849, Pol Roger has been popular with Royalty and famous Statesmen of Europe and in particular Great Britain since the late Nineteenth Century. It remains a firm favourite to this day, fiercely independent, with a demand for excellence. Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill was created in honour of one of Claridge's most loyal guest.

Gruaud Larose“the wine of kings, the king of wines” was created in Saint-Julien 1725 and its size of 80 hectares has hardly changed. Owned by the MERLAUT family since 1997, it has seen the introduction of sustainable development and organic farming methods. The terroir consists of deep gravel rises where the Cabernet Sauvignon rules. Gruaud Larose is one of the most historic estates in the Médoc and deserves its second growth status in the 1855 classification more than ever.Fully inclusive experience priced at £250 per person.

Members of the Chapoutier family have been in the Rhône since 1808. Michel Chapoutier took over the domain in 1990 and represents now the 7th generation. Michel’s love for soils and grapes, especially Syrah led him to spread his wings to Roussillon, Alsace and Australia. Michel Chapoutier is audacious, passionate, constantly creative and a terroir lover. He refuses to cultivate a “signature taste” but focuses on bringing out specific features of each terroir.Fully inclusive experience priced at £250 per person.
Bollinger has been family owned and run since 1829. Each of the Cuvées is a careful assembly of the very finest ingredients by the talented, passionate team to create distinctive Champagne. Also Bollinger is proud to have been endorsed with the Royal Warrant since 1884 and has been enjoyed by British legends such as James Bond since 1979.Fully inclusive experience priced at £250 per person.
Founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin, the estate is currently run by the fourth generation of the Drouhin family. This stylish negociant house based in Beaune is also the owner of over 70 hectares of predominantly Grand and Premier Cru vineyards throughout Burgundy. The whole of their estate has now been converted to biodynamic viticulture and ethos which they believe, best represents the terroir of the 90 plus appellations they produce.Fully inclusive experience priced at £250 per person.
