The Painter's Room

An ode to the artistic haunts of Provence and Italy, The Painter’s Room is a stylish, art deco hideaway. Step from the monochrome corridor into a cocooning space, where fine lines and bright accents form a striking canvas for creative spirits and seasonal bites.

Cocktails here capture the shifting shades of southern Europe, with a focus on fresh flavours from small-batch labels. Original mixology distils the heritage and craft of Mediterranean climes, while a carefully curated wine list serves up the finest vintages by the glass.

The Painter’s Room is the work of BOS Studio, whose pared-back palette is complemented by thoughtful nods to the hotel’s golden age aesthetic. Gently reflecting the light from the rose-framed skylight, the striking centrepiece is an intricate stained-glass mirror, created by London-based artist Annie Morris.

Strokes of creativity

In a contemporary nod to the hotel’s art deco heritage, the musings of British artist Annie Morris appear across the bar. Monochrome murals depict playful characters and animals in top hats, while the colourful pops of Morris’ stained-glass window creates a striking backdrop for stirring cocktails.

Cocktails across continents

In a Mediterranean palette of pastel hues and bold brights, this season’s cocktail collection is inspired by the artists and landscapes of southern France, Italy and Spain. Whether it’s the mint and ginger notes of the Sapphire, or the reimagined Melba Bellini, carefully considered blends are paired with English cheeses, prawn tempura and Claridge’s fried chicken.
