Tina - The Tina Turner Musical
Simply the best
Tracing Tina Turner’s journey from humble beginnings to global music icon, Tina The Musical tells the untold story of the Queen of Rock & Roll.
Born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee, Tina Turner first rose to fame under her stage name in 1960, as part of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. After her divorce from Ike in 1976, she forged the solo career that has seen her become one of the best-selling artists of all time. Featuring hits such as “River Deep – Mountain High” and her first original song, “Nutbush City Limits”, Tina The Musical celebrates Turner’s talent and daring attitude.
This long-awaited musical is the first about Turner’s life that the icon herself has been directly involved with, and its opening in London will mark its worldwide debut. Turner will be played by American actress Adrienne Warren, who Turner herself has called an “exceptional talent”.
To have my story nurtured by such an amazing creative team has been thrilling. London has always had a very special place in my heart and it’s wonderful to be back.
