This year’s Claridge’s Christmas Tree will be the creative vision of two of the world’s most influential designers: Sir Jony Ive, chief design officer at Apple, and the industrial designer Marc Newson. Both are longstanding friends of the hotel. The tree will be unveiled in Claridge’s lobby on Friday 18 November 2016.

From October 20-23, Dom Pérignon presented ‘Transformation’ in South Molton Street, an exceptional 15-minute sight, sound and taste experience which encapsulated the unique history behind the creation of Dom Pérignon. Cellar Master Richard Geoffroy and Simon Rogan collaborated to craft exclusive tasting and dining experiences for the four days, hosted by a Dom Pérignon Ambassador at Claridge’s.
Simon Rogan has been awarded Chef of the Year in the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards 2016, held in London on September 26. This coveted accolade is the latest in a line of successes: Fera at Claridge’s was awarded London Restaurant of the Year and Overall Restaurant of the Year at the 2016 Food & Travel Magazine Awards; and it was also ranked #12 in the Good Food Guide Top 100 Restaurants 2017. Simon Rogan’s sister restaurant, L'Enclume, topped the list for the fourth consecutive year.

‘Colonnes Pascale’ consists of objects from Africa, Morocco and China – everyday enamel, terracotta, ceramic and metal pots – vertically stacked in six-metre columns. The work is characterised by its playfulness, but also asks questions about the effect of hunger on the African continent. The striking installation by artist Pascale Marthine Tayou was in place at Claridge's lobby from September 27 to October 12, over the period of the Frieze Art Fair 2016.

Claridge’s Bar is delighted to present the champagnes of Ruinart, the first established Champagne house in 1729. Ruinart is all about elegance, subtlety and freshness, with its distinctive signature of Chardonnay, the house’s emblematic grape variety. Five different cuvées are available by the glass in Claridge’s Bar until the end of October.

The best places in London to enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea have been named in the Afternoon Tea Awards 2016 and Claridge’s has proudly taken home the title of ‘Best Traditional Afternoon Tea’. Over 30 of London's finest hotels and restaurants were shortlisted for the awards sponsored by afternoontea.co.uk, which recognise the best in afternoon tea service and creativity.
We are delighted to announce that Fera at Claridge’s has won a prestigious three-star award in World of Fine Wine’s 2016 ‘World's Best Wine List’. Over 4,500 wine lists from around the world were judged by a panel that included leading international wine critics and sommeliers, such as Alder Yarrow, Elin McCoy, Ch’ng Poh Tiong, Andrew Jefford, Andreas Larsson, Francis Percival, and Editor Neil Beckett. Only 322 restaurants were recognised for the top-tier three-star award.
Award-winning professional ballroom and Latin dancer Marius Caluser has been appointed as Claridge’s first-ever choreographer-in-residence. Available to couples choosing to hold their wedding ceremony at Claridge’s, Marius is on hand to guide our couple through a uniquely choreographed set for their first dance, offering anything from an elegant waltz or foxtrot to a passionate tango or rumba.

By popular demand, Aulis at Fera has extended their opening days to now include Wednesdays. Headed by Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan, the dining concept at Fera at Claridge’s gives guests the opportunity to taste a procession of dishes in the development kitchen turned private dining room before they go on to the menu at Fera . Aulis can also be booked privately for up to six guests.
