Damien Hirst: Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable
Transforming our art deco lobby into a gallery are 13 mythical sculptures from Damien Hirst’s epic project ‘Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable’. Exceptional in both scale and scope, ‘Treasures’ tells the story of the ancient wreck of the largest ship of its day, the ‘Unbelievable’, and presents some of what was discovered of its cargo. A number of the sculptures are still encrusted in coral or bear the marks of age and sea damage, while others are museum copies that reimagine the works in their original forms.
